Strategic Volunteering

You put thought and planning in every other area of your life, why not when you volunteer? Volunteering enriches us by learning new things and serving others, plus it feels good!

Let’s discuss the goals of volunteering and types of opportunities out there, including corporate and non-profit Board Service. Learn how to choose volunteer opportunities which both utilize our known talents and stretch us in positive ways.

Presenter: Bonnie Daneker – Write Along With You
Author and Serial Entrepreneur Bonnie Bajorek Daneker has launched Write Along With You to help would-be authors finish their manuscripts and leverage their content.

Formerly CEO of Write Advisors, Bonnie oversaw the strategic direction of the transmedia publishing company, assisting its nonfiction clients to express themselves digitally, in print, and with merchandise. Her latest book, “It’s in There!,” is the co-authored story of Prego spaghetti sauce, and was released in October 2017.

Prior to that, she was President of BD Donaldson Publishing, Inc., which created and distributed healthcare information. Author of “The Compassionate Caregiver Series®,” Bonnie co-edited “CLIMB” for Women in Technology in 2010. Additionally, she contributed to “Publishing as a Marketing Strategy” and “Building a Business, Building a Life.” Before her time in publishing, Bonnie worked in technology consulting, also creating startups in medical education and apparel.

In 2012, Bonnie was inducted into the Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame for Wadsworth City Schools. An instructor at Savannah College of Art and Design, she was recognized as a “Top Idea Maven” by the Women’s Advantage for 2012-14. Active in the Atlanta entrepreneur communities, she was an Industry Group Lead in Communications for The Ritz Capital Community and filmed the TV Pilot “Project Launchpad TV.” She served as Product Development and Marketing mentor for Endevvr high school entrepreneurs, and a reader in the children’s reading program at My Sister’s House.

She holds a BA in Journalism from The Ohio State University, an MBA in Strategic Planning and Entrepreneurship from The Goizueta Business School at Emory University, and the Sustainability Associate Certification from ISSP. Bonnie serves on the Board of Directors for the Green Chamber of the South and The Ohio State University College of Arts & Sciences Alumni Association. She is currently the President-Elect for the Georgia Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).
