Event Details

Dr. Byron Harper is a board certified physician in Fayette County, Georgia. His practice is called MD/VIP and he has been practicing medicine for more than 25 years. The son of a physician, Dr. Harper attended the University of Georgia before attending medical school at Emory University. He completed both his internship and residency at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga at Erlanger Medical Center.

Dr. Harper believes the practice of medicine shouldn’t be a factory. Rather than serving 2,000 patients like most practices, he is focused on serving just 300 patients. Rather than spending several minutes with each patient, Dr. Harper spends 30-minutes with his patients so that he can better know them and therefor, provide better care.

MD/VIP believes:
Healthcare should always put the patient first.
Medical care is not one-size-fits-all.
Doctors should have time to get to know patients beyond their symptoms.
Appointments should not come with time limits.
In the type of primary care that improves health and lives
Since 1986, Dr. Harper has served as the Medical Director at Southwest Christian Hospice and also serves as an Elder in his church. He lives in Fayette County with his wife Terri and their 5 children.

He will be talking about personal health and it’s effect on work, and how to stay healthy in the heat of summer.
